Stress

What is Stress? Is it actually bad?

As per WHO- “Stress can be defined as any type of change that causes physical, emotional or psychological strain. Stress is your body's response to anything that requires attention or action.”

It is a normal human reaction that happens to everyone. The human body is designed to experience stress and react to it. When you experience changes or challenges (stressors), your body produces physical and mental responses. It enables an individual to deal with a given situation and make adjustments and alterations accordingly. Positive stress helps one remain alert, motivated, and prepared to avoid danger.

When does stress become a problem?

Everyone experiences stress to some degree. The way you respond to stress, however, makes a big difference to your overall well-being.

As it is said - अति सर्वत्र वर्जयेत् I - Excess of anything is bad.

Stress becomes a problem when stressors continue without relief or periods of relaxation.
