Why the name 'Brahmasutra'?

When Dr. Ritu was thinking of a name she could not come up with anything better than “Brahmasutra” which beautifully sums up the history of Ayurveda in itself.
Brahma- the creator of the Universe (as per Hindu philosophy) was the first one to have initiated Ayurveda to his disciple DakshaPrajapati, who further passed on the knowledge to his disciple and so on, the knowledge is being transferred to future generations till date.

Sutras- In Sanskrit, sutra means "thread," and traditional ancient literary sutras were created to weave knowledge. In simple word we can call them “formulas”. The early Indian philosophers and sages were super intelligent beings with incredible memory. They did not work with written texts as they did not feel a need of them. They were effortless in acquiring, storing, retaining and later retrieving the knowledge. Initially, Ayurveda was verbally taught by our learned sages to their disciples. Therefore, the sages designed “sutras” .The brevity of the Sutras made it easy to comprehend and memorize the explanatory and complex works. They later on started documenting their works.

Diet and Nutrition

Our diet is an essential part of our daily lives. It helps us maintain our health and fitness. As per Ayurveda, a person's physical and mental health is dependent on their diet and eating habits. Ayurveda believes that an imbalance in dosha is the main reason of causing any kind of ailment. To bring your vitiated dosha into balance, ayurveda focuses on dosha specific nourishing diet and lifestyle modifications. To get the full benefits of an ayurvedic diet & nutrition to harmonize your doshas, you should consider consulting an Ayurvedic physician.

Female health:

Women deal with a wide range of health problems on a daily basis. Female health issues like PCOD, infertility, breast cancer, menopause, endometriosis etc can be caused by a combination of factors, including lifestyle choices, genetics, and environmental factors. Each of these health conditions can have a huge impact on a woman's quality of life and health. When it comes to addressing particular female health conditions, Ayurvedic remedies are more effective than others. That's why it's very much important for each woman to be proactive about your health and to see a certified Ayurveda doctor if you're experiencing any symptoms that concern you.

Garbh Sanskar

The word "Garbh-Sanskar" is made up of two words - "Garbha" meaning womb and "Sanskar" which is an education or training. Garbh sanskar is a set of ancient Indian practices that are followed during pregnancy in order to ensure the health and well-being of the unborn child. These practices include things like yoga, meditation, and positive thinking. There is a lot of scientific evidence to support the efficacy of garbh sanskar. Studies have shown that babies who are exposed to these positive prenatal influences tend to be healthier and happier than those who are not.
